Merit's head office, Guomu Industrial Co., Ltd., was founded in 1986 and is now among the top five electric wheelchair, electric scooter and manual wheelchair manufacturers in the world. It once occupied more than 15% of the world's electric wheelchair production capacity.

Melichi products have passed the certification of the most stringent international standards TUV, ISO, US FDA, European CE, and Japanese JIS. It is also the first premium electric scooter in Taiwan to be inspected by the US FDA Food and Drug Administration. In addition, Meritchi has won the Taiwan Excellence Award for consecutive years.
