KMB Installs Movable Handrails | Facilitating Wheelchair and Electric Wheelchair Boarding

Previously, wheelchairs parked in the bus's wheelchair area had no special handrails for protection. With the installation of new handrails, wheelchair users can avoid injuries, and other passengers can be prevented from bumping into wheelchairs in the designated area.

Helpful Tips for Wheelchair Users on Buses

Wheelchairs and electric wheelchairs must be parked in the wheelchair area.

When the bus pulls into a stop, you can ask the driver to lower the floor.

Wheelchairs and electric wheelchairs must be secured with two seatbelts on the bus.

The bus's wheelchair parking space has two seatbelts: one to secure the back of the wheelchair, and the other to go horizontally across the wheelchair's fixed armrest. Please fasten both to prevent forward/backward and left/right movement for maximum safety.

Persons with disabilities are entitled to a half-price discount and must present their Disability Registration Card.
